What applies to your order

Terms and conditions of sale

These terms govern every order placed on this site by a consumer. They are accepted at the time of ordering and cannot be changed afterwards. The version that applies is the one online on the day of the order.

1. The seller

Pieces are sold by the publisher of this site, whose full identity, address, SIRET number and contact address appear in the legal notice. The business falls under the French VAT exemption scheme, article 293 B of the tax code: no VAT is charged and none can be reclaimed.

2. The pieces

Every piece is assembled by hand, one at a time. The glass creatures are shaped in a flame. Tiny bubbles, shifts in colour and differences of a few millimetres are not defects: they are the marks of handwork, and no two pieces are ever strictly identical. Photographs show each model as faithfully as possible, but colour cannot be guaranteed to render the same way on every screen.

Runs are short. A sold out piece does not necessarily come back, and never identically. The availability shown on the site is what counts at the time of ordering.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included, excluding delivery. Delivery charges are stated before the order is confirmed and are added to the price of the pieces. The price that applies is the one displayed at the time of ordering; a later change of prices has no effect on an order already placed.

A tiered discount applies automatically in the bag from the second piece onwards, with no code to enter. It applies to the price of the pieces, never to delivery.

4. Ordering

Orders are placed without creating an account. Before paying, you are shown a detailed summary listing the pieces chosen, their quantity, the discount applied, delivery charges and the total to pay. You can correct your bag and your details up to that point.

The order is only firm once you have ticked your acceptance of these terms and clicked the button reading "Order with obligation to pay". This two step confirmation concludes the contract, in accordance with article L221-14 of the French consumer code. A confirmation email setting out the order is sent immediately.

The seller may refuse an order that is clearly abnormal or placed in bad faith. In that case the full amount is refunded.

5. Payment

Payment is made online by card at the time of ordering. It is handled by Stripe, an authorised payment provider: card details go straight to them and are never seen or stored by the seller.

The order is only recorded once the bank has accepted the payment. A declined authorisation cancels the order automatically.

6. Delivery

Pieces ship to mainland France and to European Union countries, with tracking. The zones, the rates that apply and the thresholds above which delivery is free are set out on the Delivery page and repeated before payment.

Orders leave within 2 to 3 working days. Since every piece is assembled by hand, this can take longer in busy periods; you are told by email if that happens. A tracking number is sent when the parcel leaves.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the parcel is handed over to you, or to a carrier you chose yourself. If the parcel arrives damaged, write to us within 48 hours with a photograph: the piece is replaced or refunded, return postage included.

7. Right of withdrawal

You have fourteen days from receipt of your order to withdraw, without giving a reason and without penalty, in accordance with article L221-18 of the French consumer code.

To exercise it, write to the contact address given in the legal notice before the deadline, stating your order number and your decision to withdraw. You may use the standard withdrawal form, but are not obliged to.

The piece must be returned within fourteen days of your decision, unworn, in its packaging and in a condition to be resold. Return postage is at your expense, unless the piece is faulty or does not match the order.

The refund is made within fourteen days of the piece being received back, using the same payment method as the order. It includes the original delivery charge, up to the cost of standard delivery.

8. Legal guarantees

Every piece carries the legal guarantee of conformity, articles L217-3 and following of the French consumer code, and the guarantee against hidden defects, articles 1641 and following of the civil code. These apply independently of the right of withdrawal and at no cost to you.

Under the guarantee of conformity you have two years from delivery to obtain repair or replacement, and you do not have to prove the defect during the first twenty four months. Under the hidden defects guarantee you have two years from discovering the defect.

9. Complaints and mediation

For any complaint, write first to the contact address given in the legal notice, quoting your order number. We undertake to answer as quickly as we can.

Failing a solution, you may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator whose details appear in the legal notice, within one year of your written complaint. The European online dispute resolution platform is also available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Personal data

How the data collected with an order is handled is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and once an amicable solution has failed, the French courts have jurisdiction. If you live in another European Union member state, the mandatory protective provisions of your country of residence still apply to you.
